Acid 240 SL Teamline Bike For Kids
Simplicity can also be a virtue. Cube has listened carefully to what up-and-coming young mountain bikers really expect from their bike – low weight, safe handling, reliable components – and based the development of the Cube Acid 24 SL on these principles.The result is a bike with a light aluminum fork, light, easy-to-use rim brakes, and a wide range of 9-speed gears, with which even steep climbs can be mastered without any problems. In addition, there is a slimmer handlebar with grips, which even small children’s hands can grip optimally and keep the bike safely on the course on all trails.
FRAME Cube Acid 240 SL Teamline
The Acid 240’s frame is made from the same heat-treated 6061 aluminum tubing as our adult mountain bikes, making it just as strong and strong. However, we have adjusted its proportions and weight to the requirements of children. In addition, mudguards can be mounted – and a bottle holder so that the kids always have enough liquid on the go. Thanks to the good handling designed for a lot of driving pleasure, the youngsters gain a lot of self-confidence. And because accidents cannot always be avoided, we decided on an easily replaceable derailleur hanger, which saves costly repairs after a fall or impact.

This bike seems like it is great, but the Elysium Cycles team was not able to properly assemble the bike. They put on the front fork backward and did not check the gear shifter, which was very tough to rotate to downshift (definitely too hard for a child). Now rather than being able to use the bike after purchase, it’s in the shop for a couple of weeks since all of the bike shops are backed up right now. I am happy that ElysiumCycles will refund the cost of fixing the bike, I just wish they had done it right in the first place.

The bike was packed really well and was easy to put together with just a bit of adjustment needed to the brakes. The seat goes low enough for our 7 year old with a 21.5″ inseam to ride, and it looks like it’ll fit them for at least a few years. The bike is light and of good quality.

We purchased this bike from Elysium Cycles for our son’s 9th birthday and are extremely pleased with it. It arrived quickly, was packaged very securely to prevent any parts from moving or rubbing on each other. Assembly took all of 10 minutes, barring a few little adjustments needed after a quick little ride on it. My son (and husband) both love the matte black finish, and the lighter weight makes it much easier to haul up and down our front porch stairs. I’m not a bike expert by any means, but the bike looks and feels solid but without the added and unnecessary weight.
This is a quality bike, comparable to similar bikes from Trek or Liv. Assembly was fairly easy. Looks really good too!
The bike arrived on time. The front rim was bent and so a spoke. Annoying but the bike is great overall.
